The idea made sense on campus.
I built a peer-to-peer rental model and tried it with students. The pilot recorded more than 150 transactions in its first week. Leazify also reached the semifinals of Innovest in 2022.
The difficult questions came after the match.
How do you handle a late payment? What happens when something comes back damaged? Why would two people keep using the platform once they had met?
Side deals, payment friction, and damage claims became part of the pilot. They were useful lessons in what a marketplace actually has to do.
What stayed with me.
I had started with the idea of matching people. I came away thinking much more about trust and the work around a transaction. It was an early attempt, and it gave me better questions for the next one.
